Recently, I got to review the Sennheiser HD 620S headphones and they are something worth spending your money on. The headphones have a closed-back design and a decent external noise-removing capability. Though, you will miss ANC at some points but that will happen only in extremely noisy scenarios.

Another limitation with the device is that despite spending a decent amount of money, you are not getting any touch controls or Bluetooth connectivity for that matter. The headphones can be purchased from the official website of Sennheiser at a discounted price of Rs 32,990 instead of its original price which is Rs 41,990.

Sennheiser HD 620S review: Design

Sennheiser HD 620S review

The latest offering from Sennheiser offers a crisp and clean look. The expansion of earphones makes them really comfortable for regular use. The headphones cover your complete ears making them isolated and disconnected from any and every background noise to an extent. The headband is a combination of both metal and plastic and it can feel a little tough to adjust.

However, finding the right fit is a one-time thing, after that, you just need to wear it every time with the same adjustments. As you know, the headphones don’t offer any stuff that is cool like touch-sensitive buttons or even simple clickable buttons. You get a 1.8mm cable and a 3.5mm jack for all the connectivity stuff. If you are planning to accompany them on a daily commute or to places where there is a lot of crowd and noise, then you may get a little disappointed with all that it has to offer.

Sennheiser HD 620S review: Features

To be honest, there are not a lot of features to discuss here considering that the only way you can connect these headphones to any device is a cable. It means that you need to keep them connected consistently while listening to music and stuff. And yes, they don’t ship with the Sennheiser Control Mobile App support. However, you can adjust the EQ levels using a third-party application on your primary device.

Sennheiser HD 620S review: Audio

Sennheiser HD 620S review

The Sennheiser HD 620S outclasses a lot of headphones in the same price range when it comes to sound quality and I think that’s the USP of the headphones keeping in mind there is nothing else to vouch for. The first song I listened to with the headphones on was Bohemian Rhapsody and I dare you to suggest my any other headphone with this kind of mind-bending output in the mentioned price range. And I used them while playing EA FC 24 as well, the support for game sounds was much better than the TWS that I am using right now.

Though the earphones don’t support spatial audio format you’ll still not feel at any point that you are missing out on audio quality. A feature like Active Noise Cancellation could have worked wonders for these legendary headphones without a doubt. As for the bass, you are not going to experience anything that feels like out of this world. It has okayish bass which can feel more than limited at low volumes. To get the best experience, my suggestion will be to notch up the volume and get disconnected from the world in a room not filled with a lot of people.

Sennheiser HD 620S review: Verdict

Sennheiser HD 620S review

The Sennheiser HS 620 is perfect for people who have integrated music with home and don’t need it in the world outside their room. And they are available at a decent budget without a doubt. So, if you love bulky headphones in a home setup that can give you decent audio output while listening to music, watching series, or even playing games then definitely you can go for the Sennheiser HS 620S. However, if you are someone who uses headphones in the crowd, and prefers the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature then the headphones are not for you. Furthermore, don’t expect anything smart from these headphones as I already mentioned they don’t have any touch controls.
